Thanks! That is what I was looking for.

I thought I would first try importing a single user. So, I downloaded the example spreadsheet and modified it to just load one of my users, but I'm getting the error message:

"Importing filters and recipients for file with path \\100.93.73.141\MCANALYTIX_Qlikview\SourceDocuments\Analytix\Spreadsheets\TestEmailExport.xlsx

Error parsing import data: The user name or password is incorrect.

Please check file path and file structure: all 3 required worksheets must be present in file."

I didn't change anything on the template except the data fields. I'm confused as to how/why it is checking a username /password. I thought this spreadsheet was building the usernames and passwords?

I'm sure it is something I have done, but I can't figure out what. Have you ever come across this when importing via a spreadsheet?

Thanks,

Loop and Reduce plus email portion to users

What I want to do is take a chart and create a separate spreadsheet for each user. So, essentially a loop and reduce on the User's login name. This will create a separate Excel file for each user and each user would get a spreadsheet with only their sales data.

I had previously set up macros to do this in Qlikview but can't figure out how to do it in NPrinting.

Creating the separate Excel files seems pretty straightforward, just click the "Enable cycle" when creating a report and choose the cycle field.

But what I can't figure out, is how to link my NPrinting users to their report. Meaning, the "Enable Cycle" will create 300 separate Excel file and I want to send one to each user. The appropriate user.

I thought maybe importing all the users and then each would have a filter for themselves, but when importing users, it looks like filters are on a separate tab and are then applied to each user. Which would mean I would need to create hundreds of filters. This could be done, but I'm hoping I'm missing an easier way to accomplish this.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Mark,

Importing users with their own filters would be the way to go. That way you don't need other filters on the Task/Report etc., and no need for Cycles. Recipients will automatically get a copy of the report(s) appropriately reduced based on their User filter.

I suggest you read through this thread - when you open the linked to pages in the Qlik online help, you can change to your version of the help by selecting from the drop-down list near the top left: Nprinting: Scheduling reports to multiple users

HTH - Daniel.
