Nprinting Designer- PowerPoint report throws error "The remote procedure call failed"

Nprinting Designer version: May 2021 SR2

Type of report: MS Power Point.

Environment: Qlik Nprinting Designer is packaged and installed on all MPA Citrix machines.

Error seen: The remote procedure call failed NPrinting exception (Screenshot attached)

Error occurs when we try to save & close the report on the designer. The data is saved but the error pops up and goes-off when we hit ok. Please could you help us know to know where this error is occurring and if there is a potential fix?

Hi,

You are in a Citrix environment so please check that your installation meets all the requirements listed in: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/System-requirements_designer.htm "QlikView Desktop and Microsoft Office must be installed locally on the same physical or virtual machine where the Qlik NPrinting components are installed.". Applications virtualization is not supported.

This could be related to Office 365 upgrade issue, I faced exactly the same issue few months back, but now SR3 has this fix as per Qlik's last update, and as per my experience the below Office version also fixed this for me without upgrading to May 2021 SR3
