NPrinting Service User - Deactivate Local Admin

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible/what is required, if i don't want the NPrinting Service User (Engine and Server) to be part of the "Local Administrator" Group.

As mentionend in this article the User needs it, but is their a way around?
User accounts ‒ Qlik NPrinting

Requirements

The Qlik NPrinting Server services administrator must:

Be a member of the local Administrators group.
Have Log on as a service rights.

Maybe someone can share their experience or has a solution? Couldn't find anything via Google or Forum Search about this topic.

Hi,

It is a mandatory requirement and, if you remove the user from the Local Administrators group, Qlik NPrinting will stop working.

If it wasn't a mandatory request but you could give the user fewer privileges we will have documented it. In other words, this is the minimum requiremet to let the services run. For example, there is not a list of privileges that can be assigned to the user to avoid to add it to Local Administrators group.
