Hi Chloe,

First thing to check is your license. If you have SMB license then you will be able to add only 2 default administrators else if you are on enterprise license there is unlimited number of admins you can assign.

Regarding your "Admins" and Super Admins" - those by default dont exist in NPrinting and I am not sure what do you mean by Admins and Super Admins....

Administrator "concept" in NPrinting is based on security rules. Out of the box there is "Administrator" role which gives user full access to everything. You can create your own role and allow users to only do certain things. This is all well documented in official documentation which I encourage you to study:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Managing-roles.htm

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Security-management.htm

cheers

Lech

Hi,

I agree with @Lech_Miszkiewicz . Reading your question, I suppose you need to give some privileges to some users but not all the rights of an administrator. If this is the case, following the links posted by Lech you can create new custom roles with privileges tailored for your needs and assign the new roles to users.

Best Regards,

Hi,

Thanks for you answers.

During the installation of Nprinting Server, we have to create a "super user" so if I understand correctly, we can't modify this super user after and there is only one super user. But we can create later other users with administrator rights?

Thank you.

You can create and/or import users into Nprinting and you will have the ability to assign them administrator role in Nprinting.

Hi,

The installation process creates the Administrator role, which cannot be deleted, and one user with that role. After you can add the Administrator role to other users (with the license limits mentioned by @Lech_Miszkiewicz ) and you could also delete the first created user. What you cannot do is delete all users with the Administrator role, at least one must remain and Qlik NPrinting will doesn't allow you to delete it.

There is not a "super administrator", all users with the Administrator role have the same privileges. The first user created with the administrator role has exactly the same privileges as the administrators you create later.

Best Regards,
