NPrinting : Can't import a simple table

Hello,
I need your help concerning the import of a table in NPrinting when creating a report. Indeed I have a table that I can't get in NPrinting from Qlik Sense, when I import the table from the designer. From the designer I can see the table in my list of choices but when I import it I don't see the structure of the table, I don't have the list of columns, even though we are on a table and not a pivot table.
I know that this table was working very well and that recently it does not work anymore.
Can you help us to correct this bug.

Hi,

You don't see the list of columns of the second table because it is a Qlik Sense pivot table. The first one, instead, is a straight table. This is normal in Qlik NPrinting. Only the type of object matters, not the level of complexity.

A pivot table can be added into the template only as a single tag. A straight table can be added as single tag or you can add all or part of the columns as different tags.

A workaround is to convert your Pivot table to a straight table.

Make a copy of your pivot.

Create a new blank straight table

Drag the pivot copy over the new straight a choose 'replace'.

Or you can just create a new straight table with the same fields as suggested above.

Based on Pictures provided it didn't look like Pivot Table. Therefore I think the cause of table not showing columns in NPrinting could be due to use of "show column if" in Qlik Sense. If there is anything in this setting in Qlik Sense table it will be only imported to NPrinting as whole object.

You highlighted in Yellow a pivot table object. A pivot table is recognizable as an NPrinting table object without the (+) sign in front of it (such as the object directly above the one you highlighted in "Yellow".

Perhaps then you mean the issue is that the object in Yellow 'is' a supposed to be a straight table.

If that is the case, then there could be some reason like unsupported attributes as mentioned by @Ruggero_Piccoli that are applied to your straight table that cause it to appear as a pivot table to NPrinting.

A good test to ensure that you have not used any unsupported attributions mentioned here as posted by Ruggero.

-try create a new straight table with same data

-if data contains 'if' statements or other unsupported items, move those to the load script of the Qlik Sense app where possible.

Suggest that you

copy your app
make the necessary changes to the copy
create a new test connection to the updated/copied app
create a new report
Check if the object now appears as a straight table object.

IF yes, then recommend using this copied app for reporting purposes.

Hello,

I have just tested and indeed we have a display condition on only one column of the table.
I did the test to remove it and everything is ok now.
