Distribute Report to Users Filtered by Their Specific Department

Hello,

I have an NPrinting distribution question, if my company has multiple departments and i need to send a filtered excel file report based off their department. Is there any way to accomplish this without creating multiple tasks and filters? The company has over 35 departments and 100s of people, wondering instead managing 35 different task and the contacts is there something like having an distribution flat file where i can connect to the NPrinting API and execute task that way based off of the distribution flat file? Trying to figure out a way to best manage the ditribution list for the report.

One thing you can try is to create 35 filters, one for each department, and associate each filter to its related department. Then create a single publish task, not 35, add the department ID as user and distribute the reports as you prefer, for example via email. Each department will receive a filtered report.

Filters and departments can be created manually but also imported from an Excel file (refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Import-Us...) or via APIs (to create a filter https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/APIs/NP+API/index.html?page=21 to create a user https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/APIs/NP+API/index.html?page=64).
