Hi,

In my application, there's a slider that dynamically modifies the content of a table using set analysis. For example, Count({<Amount={">=$(=$(v_slider))"}>} DISTINCT FIELD).

I know that variable input doesn't work in NPrinting. What could be the alternative s

Hi,

Please remember to add the label with the correct version of Qlik NPrinting you are using: the answer could depend on it.

You are cutting corners with the description of your topic as you are not mentioning that you are trying to use OnDemand NPrinting report generation from Qlik Sense which is a key factor to the question!

Variable input works in standard NPrinting reports and the behaviour can be achieved by using variable filters as report or task filters: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2023/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Static-dynamic-filters.htm#anchor-10
Variable input will not when used with OnDemand report generation from Qlik Sense as only field selection state (not variable state) is being passed through.
1. Obvious workaround is use of field in Qlik Sense data model with values users will be able to apply selections on and which would drive your variable in set analysis. You can autogenerate values in such field during load script. I have described this before in my answers to below topics:
  1. https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting/Variable-filters-in-NPrinting-V17/td-p/1347166 where I say "you can build a workaround where in variable you would implement expression based on field selection. Then you can apply selection on field, pass through value from field to variable (therefore modify variable value) which essentially will be reflected in your end-object."
