Thousands and decimal separator in Nprinting

We need to print 3 reports which are being designed in Qlik NPrinting, but when printing to PDF it changes the thousands and decimal separators.

In this image you can see that Qlik Sense shows the separators that we need:

But the problem appears when we try to print the reports designed in Qlik NPrinting:

The thousands and decimal separators shown in Qlik Sense are the ones we need. In the case of decimals, we need the comma as a separator and for the thousands separator we need the period.

Several tests have been done, but none have worked. Even checking the language in the internet browser and the program used to open PDF.

Other tests that have been done are changing the "Keep source formats" option and also changing the cell format.

Please suggest as we can change the nprinting server regional settings as the same server is using by others.

Hi @Akash6

1. What are regional settings of the NPrinting server windows operating system - please share screenshot.

2. How do you create that PDF? It looks like excel report printed to PDF, is that what happens? or are you using other template like Pixel Perfect or Word. If it is excel you may also want to open excel on NPrinting server and double check there regional settings and default number formats as some of them are changing automaticaly based on regional settings used.

We need to understand the basics and those start with operating system of NPrinting server regional settings

Cheers

Note: We can't change the regional settings of Nprinting server as the same server is using by other US folks and this request is from LATAM.

Well - If you cannot change it then it is what it is. Also you have not answered my second question so I cannot advise you about workaround. In each case it may be different solution, so what template are you using?

It does not matter - what happens is when excel gets generated regional settings of the server on which it is generated are applied to the cells. It is standard for excel and has nothing to do with NPrinting actually. So then when you print it to PDF from excel it has already settings of the local server applied.

The only workaround I see would be to try and convert values to text directly in Qlik Sense by using text(num(),required format) and then populating them as text in excel or better use the pixel perfect template to produce pdfs and text() as well.

cheers
