I have requirement to page break on table on multiple slides in Nprinting. Table should dynamically list the countries based on the selection/ parameters. I have created Straight table in Qliksense with Country as dimension and have 6 measures. I want to create page in Nprinting powerpoint with straight table, and it should create slides based upon the countries in the selection criteria.

Hi David,

Qlik NPrinting February 2024 SR3

Version: 24.4.14.0

The page feauture is only possible if we have bucket that groups countries under it, each page will show countries in it. By adding Country dimension on the page is generating page/slide for each country. We want first page/slide to show may be 10-15 countries next remaining and so on. Is this something that could be achieved via page feature

Suggest you do this in PixelPerfect instead and output as a PDF instead:

When i add Country on Page it is generating separate page/slide for each country

e.g.

slide 1: France Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3

Slide 2: Germany Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3

Slide 3: UK Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3

What i want is to have a page break on countries in a table

Slide 1: 1-15 countries and Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3 in a table

Slide 2: 16-30 countries and Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3 in a table

and so on.

Can this be achieved via Page feature?

Thanks David, I work with Fareeha.

What she meant is ability to create multi-slide straight table. A long table that needs to be sliced on 2 or more slides, not creating a slide based on a set of dimensions. Rather using the result set output after applying the filter and then rendering a paged table on multiple slides.

the challenge we face is inability to base NP page object on a chunking dimension that’s dynamically calculated, not created using load script.
any workaround for this issue?

There is a limitation with Microsoft powerpoint that prevents table data from automatically extending to the next slide when it does not fit on the initial slide.

The best tool to perform this type of task would be the Pixel Perfect editor. Unfortunately, this designer does not export output to powerpoint but rather, to PDF.

Hi,

As per @Frank_S 's suggestion you can add the source table multiple times each one with a different object filter.

Otherwise you can evaluate to create a new support fields with value, for instance, 1 for rows 1-15, 2 for rows 16-30 etc and use that new field in the Pages node.

Another idea could be to set the Custom Rows property:

Explained in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2025/Content/NPrinting/PowerPointReports/Native-table.htm#anchor-2. You must manage it manually by adding the same table multiple times each one with a different rows range.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
