topic Export bar chart to PDF with all or most dimension axis values. in Qlik NPrinting

I am trying to make a cycle-enabled NPrinting report that can export a bar chart with as many dimension values as possible.

In Qlik Sense, exporting to PDF and selecting Portrait and "Fit to page" gives the closest thing to the desired result.

I have been trying to replicate the Qlik Sense behavior in NPrinting but I cannot seem to achieve it. I have tried to import the image in Excel then exporting as PDF but I am not having any success there. I tried the same in PixelPerfect report but did not working and it is also confusing to me on top everything else.

What is the best way to emulate the Qlik Sense PDF export result in NPrinting?

I am using Qlik Sense May 2024 Patch 27 and Qlik NPrinting February 2025 SR2

Thank you.

Hi @M_B

1. when using Excel template and exporting chart as image there are 2 parameters for x and y resolution you can set in your template which will control the rendering resolution of exported image which in turn plays major role how your chart looks like. There is no stock standard values we can give you instead You need to figure it out for yourself. Start from something like 800x600 pixels and then either increase or decrease those numbers to your liking. https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2025/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Image-Dimension-Management.htm#anchor-6

Also keep in mind that pdf from excel template is an excel print to pdf so excel printing layout has to be configured (just like you would have to do with any other excel)

2. Another option would be to use excel based chart. Export data and use native excel chart to produce what you need. You will have more excel control over how things are rendered

3. pixel perfect - at this stage i would suggest you focus on easier templates and if you still cannot achieve what you need you may want to use native pixel perfect chart.

if any of the above still does not work, you may want to add some screenshots to this conversation with your results so we can have some reference on what you are trying to do and suggest you what is the best option to achieve it.

cheers
