What's the difference between NPrinting Designer and NPrinting Server?

Hi everyone,

Could you tell me the difference between NPrinting Designer and NPrinting Server?

In other word,what does the NPrinting Server can do but the NPrinting Designer can not?

Hi,

as I know NPrinting Server allows you to manage distribution of report created with NPrinting Designer.

Nprinting desgner lets you create reports. Nprinting Server is necessary to schedule the reports, provide On Demand buttons in your Dashboard and to process XML files to kick off jobs. You need the designer to create the reports and need server to schedule them and so on.

Can NPrinting Designer be installed and fully functional without NPrinting Server? Or it should be always related to a server?

It will have the same functionality except for schedule automation and On-Demand reporting will not be available.

Without a server, execution of report schedules is a manual process.
