NPrinting Pivot Table w/ Pages

Hi Everyone-

I've created an NPrinting template using a straight table from Qlik Sense, with 4 fields. After following the steps to create an NPrinting Pivot table in Excel from the Qlik help guide, I've encountered a problem. It seems as though there is no ability to create a Pivot table that contains the Page capability as well. When the pages are created, the data set is correct, but the corresponding pivot table only contains data from the first pivot table in the page.

Is there a way around this? I'm surprised that the table of data on the page doesn't provide the source for the pivot table on the same page.

Hi,

This bug was solved in November 2017 release. Please update to November 2017 your installation.

From the Release Notes:

Excel pivot tables are supported with Page feature

You can now create Excel pivot tables and straight tables inside worksheets with the Qlik NPrinting Page feature activated. Excel pivot tables must be created in the same worksheet as the table that contains the source data.

Thanks for the suggestion. In upgrading from June 2017 to Nov, I'm now being presented with a TLS handshake error upon testing the distribution of reports via email which will require my attention prior to attempting to create the pivot tables.

Hi Michael,

Regarding the TLS handshake issue, if you were unable to resolve it please open a Support case or start a new thread. Either way please include the relevant error from the Engine log (for example., Failed to send e-mail message to emailaddress@domain.com. ERROR: No compatible authentication mechanisms found).

Hi Ruggero,

I am using Feb 18 Nprinting and still not able to have page implemented in Pivot table.

I am trying to create page for Managers and though tabs are created for different managers, the same data gets replicated all over.

Any idea what trcik am missing ?

I think you need to add filters to the Qlik NPrinting users that are related to managers.

I'm expecting a requirement like ,Nprinting designer contains pivot table with drop down filters and having a data.

This pivot data should split in to another tabs based on the TourID filter.

But I'm getting a result like data is split in excel tabs based on TourID but it is not filtering.same data repeating in all Tabs.

Can anyone help on this.
