NPrinting: Send an e-mail per Cycled Report

Greetings,

I have a PowerPoint Report that is cycled by the dimension "Salesman".

I have created the task to generate these reports to a specified folder and it works fine.

Now I intend NPrinting to send an e-mail to each one of these Salesman, with the report concerning only himselft/herself.

In my Qlikview source, i have a table that contains each Salesman Code, Name, E-mail and ReportID.

I already did the following steps successfully:

Imported the recipients for these salesman using the Qlikview Entity source.
Applied a filter to each Recipient with the corresponding ReportID.
Add the Recipients to the Cycled Report Task.
Parameterised the e-mail message of the Cycled Report Task.

However, when i run this Task, the reports are generated to the folder correctly, but the e-mails are all sent with the same attachment (the first report generated in the cycle).

How can i associate the cycled dimension with the dispatch of the corresponding e-mail? Is this possible?

I'm looking forward to some help.

Hi Susana,

Do not use a Cycle.

In your second step, instead of adding a filter on ReportId, create a filter on the Salesman Code field. Add the corresponding full name & e-mail address for each recipient as well. When you run the task, NPrinting will generate a separate e-mail for each recipient and attach an appropriately filtered PowerPoint report.

You do not need cycles but instead, I would recommend filters on each recipient. The filter can be based on their name, region, etc. that is sued to determine their inforamtion or inforamtion you only want them to see.

Thank you very much for your help Daniel and Adam, much appreciated.

I was stuck on this issue.

I removed the cycle in the report, associated the Salesman Code filter to each Recipient, associated the various Recipients to the Task, and now it works.

I get a generated report per Salesman and an e-mail sent with each report to each Salesman.

I have a multiple dealer reports per complete date. I want to generate an email for each dealer. Would this possible or does the technique only work for a single filter?
