We have a macro where we have a filter on date field. In macro we are assign it value as year(now()) & * . Now we are tring to do the same export using Nprinting , where the wild character * is not being identified . How can we implement this same date selection ( & * part ) in Nprinting.

NPrinting is unable to calculate an array of values which your formula suggests. Any formula resulting in a boolean query ( a yes/no) will not work. You must specify a specific value.

You can leverage Qlik advanced search functionality by following the tutorial below which allows the use of a special character.:

How to Use QlikView Advanced Search with NPrinting Filters – Customer Feedback for Vizubi

Keep in mind that any macros run on your template will be run after the NPrinting report is generated.

You must use the following formats to build an NPrinting template using a macro: xlsm, pptx.

Hope this helps.
