I watched the video on how to install and configure nPrinting.

I am trying to install the nPrinting Designer on my laptop as that is where I would be designing the templates. It installed fine. But when I try to open it I get a message that it can not be installed stand alone. I thought the Video said that it could be installed on the server or any other computer.

What am I missing here? I have installed v17.0

Mark -

Log into the web console at https://YourServer:4993 with your credentials. If you have the Administrator, Developer or a custom role assigned to you that allows you permission to perform the various actions around Reports, you will be able to use your locally installed copy of the designer.

To launch, go to Reports in the ribbon and then click the button for Create Template. This will launch the Designer.

I should have thought of that. Thanks.

I don't see Reports as an option. I have not been able to get my Engine online yet. So that might be why?

Yes, you will need your engine to be online and then generate the cache for at least 1 connection (QVW) in order to start working with Reports.
