Cannot send email using NPrinting 17

Hi,

I am trying to send email using Nprinting 17 and using office SMTP server, but never received any email.

But when I used smtp.gmail.com, it works.

Can anyone help this issue?

I may be way off here but could it be a problem with the office SMTP server?

Hi Christoffer,

I am pretty sure SMTP configuration is correct, because it works on nprinting 16.

Just wondering, have you tried sending email using nprinting 17 besides SMTP Gmail?

Interesting. Then it really should work...

After reading a couple of threads about missing features and bugs in NP 17 we are definitely waiting for a new release of the product.

Hi Christoffer,

Now I use another SMTP server based on Microsoft Exchange Server, and it works.

But the issue still happen in the other SMTP server. Agreed, I also hoping the new release of NPrinting.

hi ves‌ i enabled the pop forwarding in my gamil account but its not working...

i create the email setting on NPrinting 17 like below

But its not working how can i solve this issue

try it with this port 587 and TLS on and you need the log in dates Username(E-Mail adress) and Password.

i trieed this and its not working maybe you have luck^^

I Have the same problem with sending eMails.

Google Mail and Outlook 365 is not working anybody with some ideas ? ( i tried it with tls without tls other ports the normal 25 the one fore tls 587)

What Version shan.expand do you use ?

I hear there is a new 17.1 to download do you use this version ?

At the moment i have no other suggestion, i stuck with the same problem.

m.behrend -Now only i checked which ports are enabled on my server. All my ports could not open

i just ask my admin to enable that port ..waiting for his response

after that am gonna try again

Your Telnet command is incorrect - you need to have a space before the port number.

C:\>telnet smtp.gmail.com 587

hi thanks for your reply..i type the command which is you given its shows like below

so i think my gmail smtp port is open in my server right?

but still i cannot sent reports to mail please suggesting me to solve this issue ..

am stuck in this issue up-to two weeks still i cannot solve

Hi Sankar,

I have not been able to get smtp.gmail.com to work either. I have successfully used my corporate SMTP server and my ISP's SMTP servers. I suggest you do the same. I suspect (but am not entirely sure) it has something to do with gmail not recognizing the source triggering the e-mail and is therefore blocking relay. If you can't get smtp.gmail.com to work and you simply have to use that, I suggest you take it up with Google.

thanks for your suggestion djk .. i had another one doubt when i run my task its shows like below

but am not set any trigger so its should shows like task was executed

unfortunately its shows scheduled for execution even am not set any schedule

so i think this place accrued on any issue because my smtp setting was correct am sure.. and i have't corporate smtp server i can use only gmail smtp so do you got any other solution for this please update to me...

i have this problem too.

In the NewsStand is the PDF with the report but it goes no email out.

You can check it too https://[youadress]:4994 its like an intranet from N Printing.

At the moment i look at the log files but there is no problem :7.

I test it with other smtp servers and e-mails but all the same problem.

Maybe N printing need some other open ports.

Michael Behrend-same my reports can sent to newsstand port 4994 but the email only doesn't sent i checked log file it shows the sent email for bucket like

so i think our reports doesn't come out from NPrinting server its not smtp issue i think but am not sure

BUG FIX:

Now i can sent email properly......

Check with NPrinting17.1.1.0
