NPrinting 17.1 and Sense on same server

Hi,

I tried to install Qlik Sense 3.0 and NPrinting on the same server. After installing NPrinting Server, Engine and Designer, I am not able to login to Sense anymore. I receive an 500 - Internal Server error. Sense worked fine before NPrinting was installed.

Any ideas what could have caused this?

Haven't seen that one. Did you use different service users?

I used a different service account for NPrinting. Scheduler and Engine are using the same service account.

I am facing the same issue. I also have different users, one for NPrinting (The same for Scheduler and Engine) and one for Qlik Sense 3.0

I am just about to do this so I will hold off. Can anyone point me to the Installation instructions for the latest 17.1 too please?

Restart the Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher Service. This should do the Trick.

According to the System requirements for Qlik NPrinting, the section about Unsupported configurations says:

Qlik NPrinting Engine and Qlik Sense Server on the same machine.

System requirements for Qlik NPrinting ‒ Qlik NPrinting

At the moment you can not install everything in the same machine.

This is an error in the documentation that we are working to revise ASAP.

There are no limitations to installing the Qlik NPrinting Engine and Qlik Sense Server on the same machine.

Thanks for clarifying this. taking advantage of the discussion, there is another point I would like to clarify ... I want to implement NPrinting with QlikSense, but the tests I've been doing, I realized that necessarily must have QlikView Desktop with active license to operate the NPrinting Engine. So is there any way to implement NPrinting with QlikSense with no need of QlikView Desktop.

Hi Daniel,

no need for a QlikView Desktop License when running Qlik Sense 3.0 and NPrinting 17.1

All you need is a licensed Qlik Sense Server and a NPrinting Server License.
