Hello

we finished migrating Replicate on Linux RHEL8 from May2023->May2024 and we encountered this issue on a BigQuery Target Endpoint:

SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, Cannot connect to ODBC provider.More Details

SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, Cannot connect to ODBC provider.
SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Cannot connect to ODBC provider,RetCode: SQL_ERROR SqlState: IM004 NativeError: 0 Message: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_HENV failed

We did not change anything in the Endpoint !!

Other targets work fine.

We do not understand where is the error, can you help us ?

Not sure what's the Simba ODBC Driver you are running now. Would you please confirm if you are running Simba ODBC Driver 3.0?

Just to add on John's comment, The error message indicates that Qlik Replicate is unable to connect to the ODBC provider. The specific error, [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_HENV failed, usually points to an issue with the ODBC driver configuration, environment settings, or permissions.

Please try to reinstall the ODBC and see if it works, Else create support case and attach the repsrv logs, we will help you to resolve the issue.

Thank you so much for the quick feedback.

It's not difficult to manage it to work on Linux. I'd like suggest you:

1- Please try to create a 64-bit ODBC DSN and test the connectivity by using isql command on Linux

If isql works then Replicate should work as well.

2- Share the file "/etc/odbcinst.ini" and "site_arep_login.sh" (by default it's under "/opt/attunity/replicate/bin").
