Query 1:

In the Qlik Replicate documentation for setting up Sybase as a source, the following limitation is mentioned:

"Only one Qlik Replicate task can be run per SAP Sybase ASE database."

I have over 10 databases in my PROD environment. Currently, one of these databases (let's call it SYB_DB1) is connected to Qlik Replicate for replicating data to MS SQL.

Now, I am planning to set up another Qlik Replicate task to replicate data from Sybase to Kafka. Can I use the same Sybase database SYB_DB1 as the source for this new task?

Does this limitation in the documentation mean that it is not allowed to run multiple tasks from the same database, or is there a workaround for this?

Query2:

Can Qlik Replicate Connect Directly to a Sybase HA Cluster?

Can Qlik Replicate be configured to directly connect to a Sybase HA cluster that includes a Primary, Secondary, and Fault Manager? If I use the Virtual IP of Sybase HA Cluster in Qlik Replicate, will it function correctly?

The reason for this question is that the Sybase HA cluster already has a default replication setup between the Primary and Secondary nodes as part of the HA configuration.

Hi,

Regarding your first query - to achieve your need, you would have to use a Log stream task. The log stream staging task will replicate all the tables you want to replicate to a log stream staging area and then, you can define any number of log stream remote tasks (=child task) that will replicate the data to any requested target.
Regarding your second question - please open a case with this question as we have to check with our internal team whether Sybase HA is supported.
