Kafka compatibility

Hi Team,

We are currently using AWS Kafka clusters version 3.5 & our current client librdkafka.so.1 version is 2.2.0.T_01.

We would like to confirm the following as consumers asked to upgrade lib version to 2.11:

1) Is librdkafka version 2.2.0 compatible and supported with Kafka 3.8 with Qlik Replicate?

2) Do we need to upgrade client lib manually to 2.11 if 2.2 is not compatible with 3.8?

Hello @bantuh2 ,

librdkafka version 2.2.0 is the only version certified by Qlik (in Replicate version 2025.5/2024.11), and it is compatible with Kafka 3.x.

We have received an update from the Product Management team that a higher version of librdkafka (likely 2.11) is currently undergoing QA testing with Replicate version 2025.11. We will keep you informed of any progress on this.
