We are facing an issue while running a Qlik Replicate task that replicates data from an ODBC source to a SQL Server destination. Both source and destination connections have been created and tested successfully. However, when attempting to run the task, it fails with the following error:

Source ODBC With CDC connection is setup with DNS.

Error Details:
Creating Metadata Manager's utility components failed
Cannot create the source utility component
Failed while preparing stream component 'Azure Sql Database ODBC Connect'.
Cannot connect to ODBC provider
RetCode: SQL_ERROR
SqlState: 08S01
NativeError: 10054
Message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server]TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Hi @ch_uday

Azure SQL Database is a licensable source endpoint so the ODBC endpoint should not be used, please contact your Account Manager.

"The ODBC with CDC source endpoint can be used to access sources that are not included in Qlik Replicate’s extensive Support Matrix. However, unless enabled through Professional Services and approved by your Account Manager, the ODBC with CDC source endpoint should not be used. Additionally, the ODBC with CDC source endpoint should not be used to access any sources already listed in the Support Matrix."

Hi @Dana_Baldwin
Yes, your right but we have limitation using that native azure sql connector in qlik replicate

this is already discussed before with qlik team. For reference, please see the previous discussion here:Alternate solution for limitation of Columnstore i... - Qlik Community - 2513475

Thanks again for your feedback. I would really appreciate any suggestions or solutions you can offer regarding the current issue.

Thanks

Thanks for the update and link to the previous discussion. If your use case requires the ODBC source endpoint, you will need to work with our Professional Services team, Support will not be able to help with this implementation via the Community forum. Please reach out to your Account Manager balachandra.iyer@qlik.com
