Hi,

The Replicate users guide includes a general description on the way Replicate works with Amazon S3 target (see link below).

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2025/Content/Replicate/Main/Amazon%20S3/file_as_target_overviews3.htm

In general, Replicate does not erase files from the source before it get confirmation that they were written to the target. If you reload the target the partial incomplete files will be removed. There is no document that explains in detail the mechanism of error-handling. However, the concept of how, in general, Replicate handles error situation is explained in Replicate users guide see link below:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/November2025/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/tasks_errHand.htm#ar_tasks_custom_1624443382_1694724

If you have a specific problem/issue please open a case in salesforce and attach the task diagnostic package so we can troubleshoot it.

Regards,

Hi,

Were using Amazon S3 as the target endpoint and we would like ask your help on the following:

If an error occurs in the middle of the Full Load, what happens to the files that were already uploaded?

Can partial or incomplete files appear in the bucket?

Does Replicate clean up unfinished data?

Is there documentation describing the S3 full-load write mechanism and error-handling logic?

A link to the relevant documentation would be appreciated.

Thanks.
