Replicate LOB column ( Log Stream)

If we set the Log stream staging task to replicate LOB column but do not set the replicate LOB column for the replication task will it affect the data sync issue?

For example,

Logstream staging task enable to replicate LOB column at the task setting

Replication task

Source: ibm db2 for iseries

Target: Microsoft Azure SQL Database

Do not enable to replicate LOB column at the task setting.

Hi,

In general if a task is not set to replicate LOB columns than these columns will not be replicated to the target.
When working with Log Stream, if you would like to Replicate the LOB columns to any of the targets than you have to enable LOB replication at the Log Stream staging task. In the Log Stream remote task you can decide wheter you would like to Replicate LOBs or not.

As @OritA mentioned, there will be no data discrepancy other than LOB columns not being replicated to the target. If you need LOB columns on the Target: Microsoft Azure SQL Database then have to enable LOB else can ignore it.

Does the Logstream folder store the LOBs? Or does it do lookups in the downstream task?

By default Qlik Replicate LogStream folder stores the LOBs columns values.
