topic Setting up Kafka related artifacts on Attunity server in Qlik Replicate

I am trying to work with our Attunity admin team to set-up Kafka artifacts on the server so we could use it as target endpoint. I have provided them with Kafka client cert and key which they have copied in a directory on the server and I am using that path in the task as CA path - /opt/attunity/replicate/data/ssl/data/Dev_Kafka_Certs

I have also listed the brokers as a comma separated list and put in the id and password.

When I do Test Connection, I get this error

SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, Failed to get Kafka metadata: Local: Broker transport failure. _TRANSPORT.

SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Failed to get Kafka metadata: Local: Broker transport failure. _TRANSPORT

Is there anything else they need to set-up on the Attunity server that will enable Kafka on Attunity. The Kafka environment is valid and is being used with micro services. So, something is missing on setting it up on Attunity server. Can someone let me know, so that I can send it to the admins?

Thanks

Hi @adbdkb ,

From the Replicate side, there is nothing to do with Kafka setup because we have an in-built kafka client i.e. librdkafka. So it could be your firewall issues or any environmental-related issues.

For a new endpoint setup, i would recommend you to reach out to our Professional Services team.

Thanks,

Sure. But even for the built-in client, the individual installation would need to set-up the certs in that environment, correct?

@adbdkb , correct, you would still need to setup the certs ,as this is outside of Replicate
