Agree with Steve. DB2z is not supported as target endpoint in current Replicate versions as no native driver provided yet. However, we may config DB2z as a regular 64-bit ODBC DSN, and access the DSN by generic ODBC target endpoint.

Please take note there are limitations in generic ODBC target endpoint, and we maybe hit performance tuning boundary etc, we need involve PS team, see user guide

unless enabled through Professional Services and approved by your Account Manager, the ODBC target endpoint should not be used .

Hope this helps.

Hi !

My understanding reading the docomentation is that it's not possible to use DB2 on zOS as a TARGET endpoint for Qlik replicate.

Can you please confirm if my understanding is correct.

Thanks in advance !

Thanks for your answer ! We are already running DB2 as a target endpoint by the ODBC option, but then our DB2 target endpoint is running on a Red Hat linux. In documentatin only Windws and Red Hat Linux listed as valid endpoints using ODBC. But you think zOS also supported under the ODBC option ?

The two platforms are meaning where Qlik Replicate is running.

On the Replicate Server (Windows, or Red Hat Linux), the IBM DB2 client should be installed, and the DSN point to DB2 on z/OS mainframe. Replicate access the DB2z via IBM DB2 client/server communication thru TCP/IP.

In summary, your current settings are supported.

Hope this helps.
