Replicate MySQL target endpoint one of data type mapping in User Guide is strange.

Hi ,

In the v6.6 Replicate User Guide page 863,

NUMERIC If scale is => 0 and =< 30, then:
DATETIME (p,s) <======== why DATETIME
If scale is => 31 and =< 100, then:
VARCHAR (45)

Replicate NUMERIC Data type is

NUMERIC An exact numeric value with a fixed precision and scale .

Is it correct ? wrong ? this is too old issue.

Looks like it is a mistake.
It is printed DATETIME instead of DECIMAL.
I will raise documentation fix for this.

@khchoy When writing to MySQL, do you see the datatype set to DATETIME to DECIMAL? If DATETIME, then it's a bug as well, else as Madhavi mentioned above it will be fixed via a documentation defect.

I checked document of Nov. 2020 , But still not fixed. All MySQL target Numeric datatype are wrong information.

this is very simple problem. But nobody checked this.

In my opinion, this is not a matter of importance, but rather a matter of how much you care about quality.
