Intersystems Cache ODBC

Just checking if On-prem Qlik Replicate supports connections via ODBC to Intersystems Cache'?

I saw a separate question for connection capabilities for Cloud SAAS and see that's not supported by Qlik, but would like confirmation regarding Replicate's ability or not to connect to the above source target.

Thanks for the post.

The ODBC source & target endpoint can be used to access a database or system which is not included in Support Matrix. In general:

1- it's Professional Services engaged.

2- Approved by your Account Manager

3- ODBC endpoint should not be used to access any endpoint that is already listed in Supported Matrix.

At work currently I have been using Excel or Access and linking to ODBC databases.

I am pretty much the only SQL guy here and I know there has to be better tools than Excel/Access/MS Query.

Is there any good tools (paid/free) I can get my company to purchase?

That works, but it is clumsy.

What is the grander goal here? Daily load, Change Data Capture to keep data in sync? How much data are we talking about (order of magnitudes for tables, rows, columns, megabytes). Where is the data going to ? (target relational DB, or a kafka or whatever)

Replicate is a wonderful tool, easy to configure 'click to replicate' but likely overkill (ergo too expensive) for you needs. Also, a generic ODBC source does not have a transaction log for Replicate to find changes in, so for CDC purposed you would be stuck with some markers like an DATE or ever increasing numeric key to know where to start picking up new changes. Typically you'd end up using just the full-load component leaving a lot of value (cost) unused.
