topic Moving a source from Azure Sql Managed Instance (ms-cdc) to Windows/SqlServer (ms-cdc) in Qlik Replicate

We are moving our source from Azure SMI to Windows SQLServer. The source both have different source types in the end-point (due to licensing...etc).

Described in the original endpoint (azure smi (ms-cdc)) are 400 or so tables, some with transforms, all have been tagged for load priority...in other words a lot of effort went into the endpoint.

We then created a new endpoint (for SqlServer (MS-CDC), it starts out devoid of transforms, tables...etc.

The UI allows for an endpoint to be duplicated (and that preserves the 400 table and setups), however duplicated endpoints do not allow the source type to be changed!

Given that, it looks like we are forced to manually add the 400 tables (easy enough), but we are still left with the task of re-creating the transforms and the prioritizations. Yuck!

Is there any hack to change the endpoint type on a duplicated endpoint...like edit a file or ???

This all on May2023 latest release of Replicate

Nevermind...figured it out.

Exported original json, exported new json with just enough to get started...

Carefully, moved tag sections from original to new...

Imported new

Worked like a charm
