Hi @pkagel ,

While there isn't a specific notification for recovery mode, you can configure notifications for both any errors and any warnings to ensure you receive alerts. This is particularly useful because the task stops and resumes when it enters recovery mode, making these notifications beneficial in keeping you informed.

How can I set up notifications for when a task goes into recovery mode? I have times where it just stays that ways for more than a day but I don't notice because I don't get notifications like I do for failed tasks or suspended tables. I don't see anywhere how I can do that. Is it possible?

As @SwathiPulagam indicates, your best bet NOT to worry about a specific error condition but to monitor the effects with NOTIFICATION settings, notably:

Performance/Resources: Latency exceeds [N]seconds

Error and Warnings: No changes were captured in the last [N]minutes

If either of those triggers with large values for N (latency 3600 sec?, no change 100 min?) you really want someone to look at the system.

Hi @pkagel , They ( @Heinvandenheuvel and @SwathiPulagam ) are both correct. I find this new notification to be quite useful.

No changes were captured in the last <n> minutes: Select this notification if you want to be alerted about delays in capturing changes from the source database. With most databases, receiving this notification will usually indicate a connectivity problem. However, with the following databases, it could simply mean that no changes occurred during the specified period.

Microsoft SQL Server

IBM DB2 for LUW

IBM DB2 for iSeries

When the task resumes capturing changes, a notification that change capture has resumed will be sent, and the notification timer will be reset.

See this link : https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2023/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Server%20Settings/task_events_notifications.htm#Define2

Sincerely
