>> I am asking whether we can apply some transformations like: union of two source tables and then loading it into target table or like comparing two source table on some condition

NO. Replicate does not have workflow control, not anything but the simplest one-on-one column transformations. The main rule is : One row in, One row out (or none).

One of the transformations available is a singleton select column lookup on source or target, but that doesn't get you very far, is relatively costly in time and resources, and not supported for all targets/source (not for Snowflake target for example - because of the terrible performance it would have)

Replicate is likely a great tool to have in yourr toolbox to move raw, or slightly cleansed data between database servers but it will not be suitable for the tasks you describe. Qlik Compose might help with the next steps from (change) data to warehouse. You may want to work with a Qlik (sales/deployment) consultant to figure out what Replicate can offer for your Environment.

Hello,

Is it possible to do all the transformations in qlik replicate as we do in informatica. If it is then please guide.

Thanks.

Hey @swatiakasture ,

For comparison, the list of supported global transformations can be found here.

Note - at the table level, there is more functionality with the expression builder.

Best,

Hi,

I am not sure what are the global transformation that are available in informatica. However, in Replicate you can define different types of global trasformation rules. For more details about it please refer to the Replicate Users guideb FYI below is a link to the relevant section in the documentation:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2023/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/tasks_defGlobalRules.htm

Regards,

such transformations possible in replicate?
