Hello @Kohila ,

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

Yes, Qlik Replicate works through internet and intranet, both types of connections are supported. In general Qlik Replicate connect to source and target endpoints (DBs/Warehouse/Steaming Systems/Files Systems etc...) via the corresponding database client, for example in your scenario, Qlik Replicate utilizes the Oracle Instant Client connect to remote Oracle Server. Oracle client/server communications support the internet connections as well, there is no doubt for Qlik Replicate too.

The above mechanism are similar for both Qlik Replicate and Qlik Cloud Data Integration products.

BTW, the Qlik Replicate server should be near by the source endpoint to gain better performance (if possible put the Replicate Server and source DB server at the same intranet).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John.

Hi, Thanks for the info provided. Could you please share the link of help document to connect to OT iDMZ as target end point. This could help as a lead for our analysis.

Hello @Kohila ,

Besides @Dana_Baldwin comment, seems I did not get what's the "OT iDMZ" database is, Qlik Replicate does not have a prebuilt driver to connect to it. You may use generic ODBC driver(if there is a 64-bit ODBC Driver for this database) to access it.

Take note that unless enabled through Professional Services and approved by your Account Manager, the ODBC target endpoint should not be used.

Are they using Qlik Replicate? If so, that is a pretty modern tool and you can write to a bunch of different file formats such as parquet. If they are just using old-school Qlik then it's not too bad to transition off. I moved a bunch of pipelines off of Qlikview about 5 years ago because the client wanted to use a different BI tool.
