Does Qlik Replicate upgrade updates repctl.cfg Configuration file in Windows

Hi team,

I want to know whether the Qlik Replicate upgrade from Nov 2022 to May 2023 updates repctl.cfg file in Windows.

If it does update then what are the steps that I need to follow.

Yes, the Qlik Replicate upgrade from November 2022 to May 2023 does update the repctl.cfg file in Windows. After the upgrade, you need to manually merge the new parameters in the repctl.cfg.rpmnew file with the existing parameters in the repctl.cfg file. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Manually merge the new parameters in the repctl.cfg.rpmnew file with the existing parameters in the repctl.cfg file.
Save the repctl.cfg file.
Delete the repctl.cfg.rpmnew file by issuing the following command: rm -f <product_dir>/bin/repctl.cfg.rpmnew.
Before upgrading, it is strongly recommended to back up the Replicate data directory. If you notice an issue with the upgrade, you can either revert to the previous version as described in the upgrade instructions or follow the steps depending on which backup method you choose.

Thanks for the update. please let me summarize the behavior:

1- If we are trying to upgrade Replicate on Linux machine then Replicate will generate a new config file repctl.cfg.rpmnew

2- If upgrading Replicate on Windows platform then Replicate detects if there is existing config file repctl.cfg, if yes, will keep it (rather than generate a new one)
