topic Themes and Pyramid Colours behaviours in App Development

Another less important but rather baffling issue I've come across recently is around assigning colours in a pyramid similar to how default themes like Horizon work.

I'd believe the pyramid picked colours based on the count of dimensions in the set and iterated accordingly through the sub-sets, but it appears not to be the case.

Does anyone know the logic ( if there is any ) so in theory, I could determine the first colours picked for charts with 5 or fewer dimensions?

Here's my colour 'Pyramid'

And here's a quick example once implemented, the colours seem to be picked almost arbitrarily?

So I'd expected to see a gradient like the first column, but the picked colours were almost random it seems?
