Unexpected sort order

Hello,

I faced this apparently unexpected sort order. I guess there is an explanation but I'm having an hard time trying to find it...

Any suggestion?

Does it mean that without an expression and with a left(Field, 14) the sorting is wrong and differently to applying left(Field, 13) ?

I think this may be a variant of the situation described in that link, where Qlik is breaking the string up into bits and trying to sort those numerically.

And it turns out I vaguely remember reading posts about stuff from 15 years ago. Yeesh, feels old.
