Do you only want to simulate a price change on the leaves of the BOM? How many different materials do you have?

Hello,

looking for ideas on how to use variables to do a what-if analysis with costing --

let's say I have multiple levels of a product recipe, and i want to be able to know if one ingredient changes price how it would affect my finished product.

So I have parent part A which is made up of parts B and C (separate field), and part B is made up of part D (third field). I know how to set up a variable, but I am struggling with how I can make it where an end user could filter on a Part Part A (or group) and then see if part D's cost changes, how that cost is rolled up to affect part A.

I've been trying to play around with a get selected count expression but not really getting anywhere. obviously it needs to scale, so ingredient D could be in 20 different products so It needs to trickle upwards towards all of those.
