Introducing blank rows in qlikview straight table.

Dear Qlik Experts

I have some data in qvd, like so

I want to represent it in a straight table like below. i.e whenever the mat column changes the an empty row should appear and if someone selects 2 mat values the empty row should remain there. I am open to qlik script ideas or straight table ideas.

I think using a pivot and enabling sub-totals would be more suitable as adding empty rows to a straight table which couldn't be done within the UI.

In the script you may go with something in this direction:

facts: load *, Mat as Mat_Extra from X;

concatenate(facts) load distinct Mat_Extra, '' as Mat resident facts;
