You can download your app as a qvf file with data. You can then provide the qvf file to a prospective employer or the Community and they can upload to their own Qlik environment to look at your work.

You can create a website with screenshots and a download link for your qvf. Something like I've done in the Recipes section of Qlik Cookbook.

You can also copy the qvf file to a Qlik Sense desktop and screenshare from there.

-Rob

Hi,

I want to create my Qlik Sense / SaaS apps and later I want to share as a Portfolio.

For example: I created an App "XYZ App" and later I want to share it with community or for future employer.

How to share my Qlik portfolio ?

Thanks

You can't.

There is no Qlik public like the wonderful Tableau public !

It's really bad for Qlik user.

Unfortunately, as @paulcalvet mentioned, there's no public space that you can use to publish an app that others could access and explore.

A great alternative, however, is the Member Articles section of Qlik Community. You can publish an article with screenshots and attach the app you've built for others to see. You can then share the links to articles with potential future employers during application process.

Maybe even create a site that could be like a hub of your projects with links pointing to the articles you've published. There are plenty of good site building platforms available that you can use to quickly put up a site often for free.

It means, after 10 years I don't have any showcase or portfolio except links. Not so good.

I agree. I'm the same boat. I've built more than 50 QlikView / Qlik Sense / NPrinting apps and a lot of them were VERY cool, very impactful solutions! But I can't show any of them.

When I'm looking for clients the conversation always feels like "I'm REALLY good at this...trust me...please trust me."

POV of Companies

The (somewhat) good part, I guess, is that employers know this, too. They're also flying blind because they know that candidates can't have a portfolio of apps to show. As much as they would like to see candidate's portfolio, they know they can't.

The Good Part

At the same time, if you have 10+ years of experience, meaning another company has hired you and kept you around for several years developing Qlik apps, and you have blog posts here on Qlik Community, and a profile that shows that you've answered questions (which you did), that puts you in a pretty good spot.

Example of Other Trust-Based Employments

We can expand this to other career also. Think about server admins who managed server farms. Or DBAs that were in charge of administering internal databases. They're not expected to have a mini server farm or their own that they can demo. Not exactly the same thing as Qlik Sense apps, but just something that I tell myself to frame lack of portfolio in a positive/explainable way.

Trust is Unavoidable

The thing is the deeper I think about it, the more challenges I can come up with. Like for example, let's say there was a public platform where we could demo apps, how can we prove that an awesome app that we have in our profile is actually ours? There's going to be an element of trust at some point. If it's not "Trust me, I'm REALLY good at this." then it's "Trust me, I built this myself."

Showcasing Expertise

I think proving our expertise publicly here on Qlik Community by sharing our knowledge and helping others find solutions is probably the best evidence we can create that we actually are really skilled at building Qlik solutions and will be a valuable resource once hired. Hence, me typing this long message and sharing my thoughts haha I do hope this is helpful.
