Hi @JonathanKelly

Have you tried the HierarchyBelongTo function? It does more or less the same than the Hierarchy, but it provides the information in one field instead of multiples.

If it is not what you are looking, could you, please, provide some data as example in order I can check deeply?

Kind Regards

I have built an Org. Chart for my employees, is there a way for each employee to be assigned a manager a set level?

i.e. Qlik looks up the employees direct manager, and loops looking up the managers manager etc until a specific Job title for the manager is hit.

Qlik's Hierarchy function allows it to sort through and assign from employee to manager and so on

Hierarchy (PersonID, ManagerID, Full_Name), gives me multiple fields where each manager step exists as a name, I want to make 1 field where based on specific Job title (e.g. Building Manager) that manager is pulled from regardless of if it is a direct report or if it is up 3 or 4 managing roles.

Hi Daniel,

the HierarchyBelongTo function I don't think provides what I'm after. I've attached an excel doc of data, I've titled a column 'HOD Manager' as that is the desired outcome I am trying to achieve at which no matter the level of employee its the same outcome.
