How can I clear the default selections in Qlik Sense

I have a document on the Qlik Sense server under My Work. Every time I open it, there are two dimensions selected and I must clear these to see the total data set. If I clear these, edit the sheets or edit the load script and save the app, the selections always return when I reopen the application. Even a copy of the application made through the QMC has the same behavior.

The document was created on a personal edition of Qlik Sense and loaded onto the server. Could this be the problem? If so, how to fix it? How can I remove the default selections. It's Qlik Sense version 1.1

If you export the app from the QMC ( to the file system) and open the export in desktop does it behave the same ? If yes, i'd be interested in getting a copy of your app.

Yes, the exported application behaves the same way. I've done some more tests and here are my conclusions:

Qlik Sense desktop saves the current selections into the application. Qlik Sense Server doesn't.

If you need some default selections, export your application and open it in Sense desktop, select dimensions then make some minor formatting change and hit save. If you import this application into Sense server, the dimension selections will be preserved and apply every time the application is opened or edited. Could be useful or annoying.

Editing in Sense Server does not save your selections.

This is the case for version 1.1 of both.

I have the same issue, but i created the app on Qlik Sense Server 1.1

I tried your technic, but under Qlik Sense Desktop still has the default selection.

First of i don't have a Sense desktop. Weird thing is that it happened to me on the server as well. One of the filed is selected and i was not able to clear.

I tried Editing sheets, reloading the app, etc... But didn't fixed it. This seems like a bug and it is intermittent.

One thing i did is i dropped the field using DROP statement and reloaded the app whihc will save automatically. Then again i reopened the app and removed that DROP statement and reloaded Wola !!! this time the selection is gone.

Have same issue running a server with 2.1.1.

I'll try the workaround droping the fields part of the default selection.
