Hi all

Have started using Qlik Sense and made a binary load of a Qlikview 11 file I have. It has loaded just fine however does not seem to recognise variables I created in the old model.

Does a binary load pick up variables that have been loaded in script as well as variables that are created using Settings - Variable Overview?

If this is not the case, do I have to load variables separately to a binary load?

cheers

Mark

Thanks Andy,

That's helpful, however is there any way you know of that allows variable loads to occur along with a binary load from a QVW?

The app returns errors when I try it. Only solution I can think of would be to connect to the original QVDs that the QVW reads from.

cheers

Qlik Sense doesn't currently support the use of variables in the way you are used to in QlikView. I'm sure they will look to include it in future releases but for the time being you'll need to work around it.

Please mark any answers as being helpful/correct.

Regards

Andy
