Use Custom Properties in section access

Hi all,

My customer is using AD authentication, but they want to create custom properties to manage data access in Apps. Did anyone try to use Custom properties in section access?

there is a group in section access help, can this work with custom properties?

GROUP

Contains a string corresponding to a group in Qlik Sense. Qlik Sense will resolve the user supplied by the proxy against this group.

Hello Paddy,

If you apply section access, the data will be filtered according to AD groups mapped in Section Access. Meaning, AD groups excluded in Section Access can not enter to the app anyway.

What is the business need? I'm asking because you may not even need to associate custom properties and section access.
