Hiding "Selections tool" icon

Hello all,

Just checking if there is an option of hiding/disabling a "Selections tool" icon on top of the app's page:

This tool is useful for debugging/validations, but it's not very practical (to say the least) for Production usage, IMHO.

Any suggestion how to get rid of it?

Hi Vlad,

I totally agree with you. It is a useful tool in Dev environment, but creates chaos in Prod from the client side.

As far as I'm aware it is currently not available to remove the 'Selections Tool' - at least that's what Qlik say.

Hope this will be solved soon! Fingers crossed!

Hi Vlad!

I've faced a bug in Sense as shown, I think this a solution for your problem (Qlik Sense 1.1).

Due to this bug the "remove selection" option is also disappeared.

I'm suspicios about certain extension.

I will look up the extension, if you would try this behaviour.

I am using the "latest and greatest" 2.1.1 version.... What bug you are talking about? Was it documented?

It might give me a clue how to handle my issue.

Hi Vlad!

I removed all imported extensions, and still absent the selection tool.

The server will be restarted, but I'm not able to this now.

Please be a patient, I'm going to reproduce the bug monday.

Hi Vlad!

I removed all extensions and rebooted our server, the selection tool is still absent.

I can't localize when or where the bug has been appeared.

There are license related issues in the logs, I don't think so that cause it.

Can you send me a list of extensions you've been using? I will try to install them on my spare system (if they are publicly available) to see if it will produce the same effect...

I have submitted a case to Qlik support, may be they will suggest something...

All of them are downloadable from Qlik Branch.

After I removed them and restarted the system the bug is still there, I'm no more suspicious.

I'm reported the bug in QlikBug community Qlik Sense 1.1 disappeared selection toolbar .
