How to shrink pie/donut chart without hiding legend?

I would like to shrink the chart in the attached image so that the chart is the same height as the legend, but as soon as I shrink it vertically the legend disappears. How can I do this? I'd also like to shrink the legend further so that the elements are much close together (I need to fit more data onto the page), but don't see any way to control this spacing. Is this possible?

The only thing you can do is play about with the legend positioning.

Have you tried Ctrl+Shift within the chart and resizing in bottom of the Chart?.

About shrink the legend further change this (Sorry is in Spanish):
