How to use Natural Language Generation and Qlik Sense ?

Hi All

Hello Data, what are you trying to tell me?

I like to learn how to use NLP in QS from above post.

I already download the extension.

I also create a chart which is sales by yearmonth by sales amount.

When i bring in the NLP , i get rroe msg , " Invalid visulization.

where i go wrong ?

Hello Paul,

It worked for me:

download: Installation Instructions - Qlik Sense Desktop – Narratives For Qlik
I put it here: C:\Users\mtarallo\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Extensions\narratives-for-qlik-6c1126be5d06eb43b1552314d3625cd9
Started Qlik Sense Desktop
Created new app
added data
added bar chart
added NS extension
selected bar chart

and got this:

I tested your app too - it works as designed

The error displayed when I opened the app showed this:

You cannot use NS NLG on a extension object - only on the supported out of the box chart components.

Hi Paul - charts that come with Qlik Sense - vs Charts / or Extensions you install as custom objects. Your screenshot displayed a date_picker object - which we do not include with Qlik Sense "out-of-the-box" - that was an extension you had installed most likely or was used in the app you are using:

Paul i am unable to find the narrative extension to your mentioned link .please if u can upload narrative extensions here or tell me the exact location from where you have downloaded the extensions.

Hi mto,

Need inputs from you, I used Combo chart in QlikSense, and i used Narrative extension on that chart and it was working good in the QlikSense application.

Now how can i bring the Narrative Extenion to the NPrinting Pixel perfect report ? I tried to bring and its showing me invalid visualisation. You got any ideas /suggestions on this where i am doing wrong.

could you also please suggest if the Naaratives can be supportive in which type of NPrinting report like Pixel perfect or Excel ?

I am using NPrinting Sept version.

I'm not sure if Narrative Science Extension can help us embed the text in some mashup/qlikbot as well. We want the text to be shown on the web service but can't seem to find a solution.
