Date Expression in qliksense

Hello Qlik Developers

I have created an expression as ='"'&date(today()-4)&'"' its displaying the date in Qlikview, but when i wrote the same expression in qliksense its not displaying the date. i am using this expression in pivot table. Can someone help me how to achieve the date in pivot table?

I just plugged your expression into one of my QS apps and it worked fine. See attached. Let me know what you were trying to do differently.

It also worked in a Pivot Table for me.

Thanks for your reply. I have created a field like

Count(If(Date(Date((Kit_received)),'MM/DD/YY')='$(vMax4Day)',Kit_ID)) AS [$(vMax4Day)]

The field is displayed as [='"'&date(today()-7)&'"']

When i took this field in pivot table in qlik sense its not displaying as date. Please look into the below image.
