topic Why is the Expression Editor so terrible in Sense? in App Development

I am really frustrated by the Sense Expression Editor.

The error messages are almost meaningless. When you add a variable reference ($(<variable>)) then no errors are being thrown at all. The editor doesn't even distinguish curly braces from square brackets. Even a Notepad++ is a better editor than the one built-on.

I think it would greatly reduce development time if developers had a decent editor>>reduce project costs>>increase number of Qlik projects>>increase Qlik license revenue. It would benefit the company at the end-of-the-day even though it's not a frontend feature.

The script editor is worth another forum entry in itself. Scripts can be run even if they have syntax errors in them? Why?
