Hello Guys,

could you lend me a hand on a Issue i am having with my Qliksense Application?

We are trying to build a QS App which allows to the User to add Dimensions and Measures threw a few Dropdowns:

Example:

Table3 has 15 row each has fields "Dimension Name" and "Dimension String"

The Dimension Name is displayed in the dropdown.

The Field Dimension String has the actual naming of an dimension in our System.

By storing the Value of "Dimension String" to a Variable and adding the Variable as Dimension into a Master Visualisatzion we can decipe per Dropdown what is shown in the Chart. This also works with the Measures...

As you can imagine, we get problems because the Dropdown must be selected to show Data and after the logic of Qlik this selection is applied on the whole App.

We knew this would happen but my question is, can we somehow save the current specifikations the Chart has? Maybe the Right Back funktion could help us.

I thought of something like : After saving the current properties into the Database we could add an Autoinkrement Values as Ident and then make a SET analysis on this ID so it would add the saved Dimension itself?

Thanks in adavance.

Kind Regards,

Mehul

Hi

Hope you have found a solution to your request. If not, check out SenseOps

You can capture user inputs directly in the UI just like variable inputs, then automatically save them into a QVD, Excel/CSV, or even a database. No scripting tricks or complex partial reloads needed. Can also get persistent data even after reloads, plus optional features like audit history, row-level identifiers, and post save actions when needed.

Know more: https://www.senseops.com/app-extensions/writeback/
