QlikSense - How to clear a filter value dynamically based on user selection

We need to clear a filter value based on user selection.

For example, we have a ButtonGroup with two options : Monthly and Yearly. Thr are two date filters(dropdown) : Date1 and Date2.

When user selects Yearly, we want the selected filter value of Date2 to be cleared while the Date1 value to be retained.

Is this possible?

What you describe is the usecase for actions in qlikview. For sense I think you need an extension for this. I beleive the vizlib filter has the ability to do this

I have explored all VizLib extensions and couldn't see any extension which can help to clear filter based on user selection of another VizLib UI component selection.

Can you share specific extension name which might have this capability?

Did you check vizlib filter?
It has actions section. you can set a series of actions like clear field, open url, set variable etc.

I have checked VizLib filter but the Clear Field Action in that is only to display an icon in the Header to Clear the filter on the field.

I am able to clear the filter using Advanced Text Object but I need to give user a button to select Reporting Period. Text object cannot be used as a button. Advanced Text Object has a good set of Actions. Unfortunately the same is missing from filter extension.
