For example I have two dimensions State and City. When I select or filter for San Francisco, I would like a variable to equal the associated dimension California (from the State field). My data structure works in such a way where based on the measure I need to create, California is not automatically associated and identified.

I feel like this can be done using the p() function or agg but I'm not sure how to?

Thanks so much!

Hi please find my attached app, the relevant sheet is called: Heatmap: Stockout %. What I'm ideally trying to do is have it so that when you select a county or station in the Subcounty store table, the associated region is filtered for in the Regional Store table.

I think i could best do this by using a variable and p(), but please let me know if you have any other ideas. Thank you!
