It is possible. One of the solution could be using the show-hide container extension to control the displaying of chart based on the certain condition. Below is the link of introduction:

This is not the answer I suspected. I didn't know that the chart was the problem. I thought is was flexible. So your saying that the day/week/month/year selector with the time change of the graph is not possible?

I thought the biggest problem is to get the dots/line on the graph from the records with the start datetime and end datetime.
